Went to see Henry Rollins tonight. It was my 3rd time seeing his spoken word. Good time. He always entertains.

I decided to stick around after the show and try and meet him. I always feel like an idiot doing that, but it turned out to be a good thing. When he came out i didn’t even recognize him. He’s smaller than i thought. He’s about my height and build, minus the gut and add some muscles. It was actually pretty surprising.

Most of you that know me know I’m a huge black flag fan. I was the last in line to talk to him. It worked out good though cuz when i got my turn it was just me and him behind the venue. We ended up talking for over 45 minutes. He was REALLY REALLY cool. I thought we had a pretty good repore. We talked about all kinds of shit. Bmx, Flag, ipods, macs, minnesota.. He’s a funny guy and we cracked eachother up. Towards the end of the conversation I told him i’d been toying with the idea of writing a book of stories from my life. He laughed and said “After talking to you tonight i think it would be a pretty funny book.” He gave me some pointers about publishing it and told me to mail him a copy when i finish it.

I thought about calling my friend john who loves Rollins and having him talk to john. It was pretty late and i wasn’t comfortable enough to ask him that.. Seemed like kind of a weird thing to ask although i think john would have been stoked.

The best part was when i left i went to shake his hand again and he moved in for the man hug. I hugged him back, thanked him for hanging out with me and wished him safe travels. He told me we’d see eachother soon.

It’s great to meet people that have had a positive impact on your life turn out to be cool. Especially when their cooler than you could ever imagine!

Thanks Henry.. I do hope we run in to each other again soon.

Lots of posts tonight.. I don’t know if anyone noticed but at the top of the site window their is a link that says “Subscribe to my audio blog”. If you click it you will go to a page where you can listen to my audio posts. What’s an audio blog you ask? Well i’ll tell you… haha.. Basically i can call a number and leave up to a 5 minute message. Then it’s automatically posted to the website. Pretty cool. I’ll use this when i need to post audio of funny shit, don’t have time to write, just want to say something or whatever. So anyway you can click the link and listen, or if your a real geek subscribe.

Anyway i posted an audio blog of ryan’s homemade ring tones… They are worth a listen.

I tried to make hot chocolate the other day.. what a nightmare! I decided to put the chocolate on top of the water without mixing it and microwaving it. I guess your suppose to mix it first.

So after that i decided to do it the right way. I really wanted to mix it so i put some water and the hot chocolate mix in my magic bullet. It was mixed really really good.. haha.. So i put it in the microwave to heat it up and it STILL overflowed! WHAT THE FUCK!

Tonight me and chet went out to wonderland. We won some tickets and bought some super balls. I had the bright idea to try and throw the super ball across this busy street against a building and try to catch it when/if it came back across the street.

It was pretty dark, so i huck the ball as hard as i can across the street and hit the building. Then i loose track of the ball… I thought i lost it. Nope it actually hits me right in the fucking face knocking the cigarette out of my mouth. Awesome! It hurt like a bitch too!

Saturday night i went to arbys and got a value meal. I parked the car and got my food out. I set the soda on the dash and my frys in the little pocket where the e-brake is.

The soda slid off the dash and fell at a 90 degree angle, bounced off the shifter, at that point the lid popped off and did another 90 degree spin landing directly in my french fry container. Not a drop of soda anywhere else in the car.. just dumped entirely in my frys! Guess i wasn’t meant to have a coke or frys that night ugh!

kinda wrote a song in garageband in the last day or so… kinda meaning i don’t really think it’s finished. But then again i never feel like songs are finished. No loops in this song other than the drums. I’m playing all the other instruments, and making noise with my voice

My band, Accidental Gun Death played our first big show last night. I think it went really well. We played the Ash St. Saloon here in Portland, it’s such a great venue for the bands and the crowd. We actually had a pretty good turnout, thanks to the BMXers. I’m feeling pretty shitty today.. For some reason my knees are killing me. I feel like i got hit in the knees with a bat. At one point i got a weird frequency in my ear from my amp and almost fell off the side of the stage. Ryan sang awesome and Noah did pretty good as well. Thanks to everyone for coming out. Looks like were playing the tonic soon and playing the ash st with 800 Octane and My Goldfish Ned on Dec 8th.
